The Poodle Project

I am currently working on a series called The Poodle Project. I paint the poodles on canvas using my hands and fingers, allowing for direct contact with paint and canvas. This creates a sensation as if you were running your fingers through the poodle’s coat while painting. While working with fingers does not allow for intricate details, it gives the poodles a raw and sincere expression. Despite being groomed, blow-dried, and dressed, the poodle still retains a sense of its innate nature. I see this as an attempt by humans to tame and cultivate their own wildness.
