Wolves
De komst van de wolven in Nederland zorgt voor heel wat ophef. Hun opmars is goed voor de natuur, slecht voor de schapen.
Het blijft hoe dan ook een magisch wezen dat zijn weg terug heeft gevonden naar oude grond. Ik borduur de wolven met liefde en aandacht.
Borduren is een tijdrovende en meditatieve bezigheid. Ik probeer hiermee de wildheid van de wolf te bezweren.

Wolves
The return of wolves to the Netherlands has caused quite a stir. Their resurgence is good for nature, but bad news for sheep.
One way or another, the wolf remains a magical creature that has found its way back to ancient ground.
I embroider wolves with love and attention. Embroidery is a time-consuming and meditative activity.
Through it, I try to tame—or perhaps honor—the wildness of the wolf.

De wolf is terug
In de verte sluipt een roedel door het bos; sommige dieren zijn nog maar een schim, alsof ze elk moment tevoorschijn kunnen komen. Op de voorgrond is één grote, witte wolf met liefde in het doek geborduurd—een zacht gebaar tegenover een wild dier. Ik borduur de wolven met liefde en aandacht.
